Francisco Silva is a contemporary painter whose work explores social tensions through the lens of everyday people, objects and environments.

Based in Frenchtown, New Jersey, Silva creates studio paintings that explore class, justice, and the quiet forces that shape American life.

Alongside his studio practice, he paints from observation, focusing on the everyday lives and struggles of ordinary people. Working on location in both urban and rural settings, Silva captures candid moments that lend emotional depth and immediacy to his broader themes. His observational work—ranging from landscape to figurative painting—is rooted in direct experience and a commitment to portraying the dignity of daily life.

A recently elected Artist Member of the historic Salmagundi Club in New York City, Silva also exhibits with The Outliers at Art150 in Jersey City. His work is shown regularly throughout New Jersey and in various national exhibitions.
