Harford Plein Air 2022: I was awarded an honorable mention at the Quick Draw

This was a very well organized event hosted by friendly people where the artists were treated very well. On Thursday evening we were treated to a delicious dinner at a Havre de Grace seafood restaurant where the artists got the chance to mingle. Afterwards, we painted the streets of Havre de Grace at nighttime. The artists set-up their walls on Friday afternoon and we dressed-up for the Collector’s Preview on Friday night which was well-catered with food and drink. The entire event did not disappoint. On Saturday morning we participated in the Quick Draw where I was lucky enough to get an honorable mention. I can’t say enough good things about this event which I plan on participating in 2023.

“Inspired by Inness: Life and Landscape” Group Exhibition at Montclair Art Museum, Montclair, NJ

Inspired by George Inness: Life and Landscape takes its cues from the upcoming exhibition of MAM’s renowned Inness collection. It showcases the work of George Inness, Studio Montclair Members, and MAM instructors and staff. According to curator Virginia Block, “We are extremely pleased to be continuing our collaboration with Montclair Art Museum again this year for our Community Partnership exhibition. 

My painting “Transcendental Tree” is part of this exhibition on view to through November 6, 2022.

2022 New Hope Arts Members Salon Exhibition

I’m a new member of New Hope Arts and I have a painting in this upcoming exhibition. This is a yearly exhibition and all members are encouraged to participate. This exhibition will have over 130 artists’ works represented. Additionally, I was lucky enough to have my painting “Arctic Winter” on the exhibition poster (see above).

Jersey City Times: The 11 Best Shows of 2021

Art reviewer Tris McCall wrote an article for the online newspaper, Jersey City Times. He listed his top pics of the 11 best Jersey City art exhibitions of 2021. It’s an informative, and interesting read, but more importantly, an exhibition I was part of was ranked as number 6: “The Empowering: A Social Justice Exhibition” . I was even happier to find out that my name was mentioned in this article. You can find the article here.

Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County presents “Small Works” exhibition in Doylestown, PA

SMALL WORKS AT FREEMAN HALL features over 60 A&C member artists showing small works in a variety of mediums ready for purchase for holiday gift giving and collecting. Works will be on display at our new home at the beautiful Freeman Hall in Doylestown and in our online gallery. 

Browse our online exhibition and sale and visit Freeman Hall in Doylestown to see the works in person. Return to the online to the gallery frequently as new artwork is added every time an artist makes a sale.

NOTE: Purchases for the online show will be made through the artist contact information in the online gallery.

I have two, 8″ x 10″ plein air paintings in this exhibition. Freeman Hall is a beautiful, old mansion that’s worth a visit in itself. Please check it out if you’re in the area. If not, you can always visit the online show.

Update 2/15/22: I cannot stress how helpful and friendly this organization is. They are consistently advertising their exhibitions on social media. As a matter of fact, I sold one of my plein air paintings titled “Autumn Windmill” when a collector saw it in an ad on Facebook! Kudos to this group!
